ACORN’S STRAIGHT STAIRLIFT

A ‘straight stairlift’ is named for the straight rail it runs on. Because the rail is straight, the stairs it’s fixed to must also run straight and true, with no turns, bends or curves between the foot and head of the staircase. The straight stairlift rail is mass-produced and only needs cutting to the right length. This makes a straight stairlift the most affordable type, and the easiest to install. The Acorn 130 Straight Stairlift is the latest generation of its original ‘Superglide’ model, continually improved and refined over almost 30 years.

The Acorn 130 Straight Stairlift is a practical and highly effective solution for staircases with no bends, turns or curves. Its attractive and discreet single rail is made from strong but light extruded aluminum. The rail is fixed to the stairs, with no need for disruptive and messy drilling and fixing into walls. If your stairs are carpeted, it’s very unlikely that you’ll need to remove the carpet. The stairlift carriage – the part you ride on – is compact and unobtrusive, making the Acorn 130 ideal for narrower staircases. Installation of an Acorn 130 Stairlift usually takes around an hour.
